War, Huh!

This is self explanitory, and should be the response to those that say "violence never solved anything", when clearly, sometimes violence is the ONLY answer...

1 But war always kill a lot of people from both parties! What about this?

2 Yes, Hans, war kills a lot of people on both sides, and not only the soldiers engaged in the battles directly, but innocent civilians as well; that is why war should always be the last resort. As a veteran, I can assure you that NO ONE hates the thought of going to war more than the troops themselves, but they realize that freedom DOES have a price and that they are the ones that are called upon to pay that price. Civilian causelties are a fact of war that can't be stopped, only held to the absolute minimum possible. The US troops are the only ones in the world that take extra risks to themselves to minimize those causelties. Having said that, it still remains true that sometimes, just sometimes, war remains the only way to resolve an issue. That is an unfortunate fact of life on this planet.
