Some of the music of my life

These are just some of the tunes that remind me of my teens....

Layla, whats NOT to like?

Tales of Topographic oceans by Yes..helped me through a lot of lonely nights when I was stationed in Germany.

I can remember one year when I was on a church youth group retreat when we played this for three solid days straight...still the best drum solo ever!

Lesser known, but my fovorite Iron Butterfly tune. What can I say? I was a weird teen. This one is for you, Beth*.

Last, but not least, Blood Sweat and Tears brings it ON. I've been known to sing Hi-De-Ho (VERY badly) without even knowing I was doing it.

1 Anything by Yes is one of my favorites, I love Clapton's unplugged version of Layla

2 I find it hard to pick between the original "hard rock" version and "the Blues" version.... The former is what I grew up with, and the latter is more my general style of music; either way, Clapton brings it home.

4 Your memory is too good, Sis... I also wore out the "Best of the Temptations" cassette tape just a minute or so before Dad threw it out of the door with the admonishment: "Never bring in that (expletive deleted)music in MY house again !"

5 That brings back memories, whilst overseas at camp we'd set two 110 watt speakers atop a conex container, hook up the big amplifier and tape deck, fire up the generator, put the Iron butterfly tape on then boogie to the beat in our boonies, you could hear it well over a thousand feet away, much to the annoyance of the Exec officer. The bushes even bounced at every drum beat. The commander loved it. My choice of Clapton are his oldest and the unplugged album. Hey Jude was popular too.
