Dear Barry,
(You don't mind if I call you Barry, do you? Yes, I know its somewhat disrespectful, but then you haven't shown me, or the rest of the American electorate much respect during this campaign season either, so you can consider it "what comes around". You served, and I have no doubt you will return this volley.)
I have watched your campaign, and observed you continuing to say the most outrageous things, as if you had every right to say it, and as if I was obligated to believe it. From campaign speeches promising a conversion experience-like epiphany, where I the voter will see the light, and cast my vote for you, then look back to the date of your election as the date when the oceans stopped rising and the earth started to heal itself. From stump speeches where your always shouting wife is quick to inform us that you will never let us live our lives the same way again, or that she has never been proud of this country until you decided to run for POTUS. I've watched when as you have denied knowing friends and associates, many of whom hate everything this country stands for, and feel entitled to change it to their liking, whether or not the rest of us want them to, and I have watched your surrogates act like thugs, following your lead with silly attempts to restrict campaign speech with clumsy attempts to get the DOJ to intimidate those who dare to question the veracity of the treasures issuing from your lips. I have watched you lie. Lie about who your friends are. Lie about fighting to deny basic medical care to children who survive their mother's attempts to have them killed (And yes, that record is one you have not been able to flush down the memory hole.) I have watched you reveal your true agenda when answering a question from a man you asked for a vote, and I watched you and your surrogates turn on this same man, a private citizen. A private citizen representative of so many whom you have asked for a vote. And all because you cannot be honest about the truth of your tax plan. This has not gone unnoticed.
Like you, I am lawyer by trade. Unlike you, I actually practice law and represent real people, including small business people. These people, like me, see right through your tax plan. They know that small businesses can and do make $250,000.00 annually. They know that increased taxes will reduce their ability and, more importantly their incentive to hire more people, so that those people can earn money of their own and support their own families. Mocking these people, the ones that actually make America work is not the smartest campaign strategy. And the more people realize that these taxes are going to hurt employers, the more people will realize that these tax increases will affect them in many ways, perhaps the most insidious being that these costs will be passed on to the consumer, who unlike you, Senator Government, cannot just print more whenever they need it.
We, the John Galts of America, see you for what you are. You know exactly what you are doing, and what effect it will have. Yet you continue to lie to us. What name is the Arabic version of "Janus"? Perhaps it is the name you should have chosen for your middle name. We will fight, until the bitter end, to expose you as the manure merchant you are, and as the clear and present danger you represent. We are more than you think, and too numerous for you to silence or intimidate. You arrogantly underestimate us, and our dedication to this country and way of life that rewards hard work and the advantageous use of the opportunities this country provides. You insult us, and expect us to stand by like the sheeple you spellbind with your confident and glittering generalities, while you scheme and plot to rob our children of their legacy and birthright. We recognize the seeds of division which have been carefully sewn for a few generations now, and we know that you still underestimate the determination of the real America, and not the ersatz, 70's era socialistic America you seem determined to foist upon us. Why can't we just be honest and say that Palin and Obama don't have much experience--Palin having even less than Obama. Who cares? When just about everyone in Washington is corrupt, why would we want experience. The problem isn't the lack but rather the ridiculous attempt to manufacture experience out of thin air (very cold, thin air).

I think she's a bit of a Sarah-come-lately when it comes to the fighting of corruption, opposing projects only after it becomes politically expedient to do so. On the other hand, Alaska seems to be so rife with corruption these days that taking a step in any direction is likely to lead one of the corpse of a recently fallen politico.

It would take a day and $20. in fees to obtain the necessary legal documents, and all the allegations could be put to rest and the allegers be made to look foolish, yet they spend time and money trying to prevent discovery...there is only ONE reason to do so and that is that there IS something to hide.
Even if it's not something as serious as the allegations raised, do we REALLY want to elect a person who feels so threatened by a truth being revealed that they will go to such lengths to prevent it from being brought into the open?

Logan Act; Application Of
I'm still withholding final judgement on THIS, but IF it proves to be true that Obama tried to interfere with U.S. military policy in Iraq, I would hope that, not only would his Presidential bid be a moot point, but that he would be facing a long stretch in the Federal Grey Bar Hotel in Leavenworth.
The Logan Act makes it quite clear as to what private citizens, including Senators and Congresscritters can and CAN'T do overseas, and if the Taheri's statements are true, it's clear that Teh One far overstepped the bounds of legality. Even if he didn't step far enough over the line to constitute a crime, his obvious placement of his candidacy above both the best interests of the Country and the safety of her soldiers engaged in a war should put to rest any consideration of his being qualified to be POTUS...
UPDATE:
But Obama's national security spokeswoman Wendy Morigi said Taheri's article bore "as much resemblance to the truth as a McCain campaign commercial."
In fact, Obama had told the Iraqis that they should not rush through a "Strategic Framework Agreement" governing the future of US forces until after President George W. Bush leaves office, she said.
In other words, Taheri says Po-ta-to and Barry says Po-Taa-to, but it's still the same root vegetable.
There you have court admissible evidence that GHO didINDEED interfere with the foreign policy of the U.S. in a time of war, and that he did so merely for his own political views.
My wish would be to request that he be charged under the Logan Act as soon as possible. My advice to Barry would be to cop a plea in exchange for a lesser term, and don't drop the soap in the showers.

I've made all too few posts on the Obamination and his cult of personality that has managed to hijack what was once a great political institution...He could have managed to get as far as he has only with the far left fringe elements of that institution taking control. I just finished listening to the best 36 minutes of political rhetoric I've yet heard out of either convention. Governor Palin was smooth, witty, and strong.
One example was when she deflected criticism from the Obama camp when they belittled her past mayoral experience; Sarah came out with a succinct thrust into the heart of Teh ONE's own past experience by direct comparison saying "Being a small town mayor is a lot like being a community organizer,.. but with responsibilities".
Gov. Palin spoke in a smooth confident manner that bespoke a woman who knows whereof , and moreover, believes in what she speaks of.
I will vote for this ticket; I just hope I DON'T GET BUYERS REMORSE AFTER THE FACT IF MRS. PALIN TURNS OUT TO BE JUST ANOTHER FAST-TALKING-SELF AGRANDISZING POLITICIAN.
I changed the font in that statement for future use; when I either heave a great sigh of relief that Gov. Palin is just as she appears to be, and I was wrong to have small doubts OR I will use it to remind myself of what was there unseen and here is just another Politician
Either way, I would still owe Gov. Palin a huge THANK YOU for bringing some new life and hope into what was turning into a deadly dull prattling type of race and turn it into a discussion of the differences the Parties represent.
It feels good to be energized about the politics of politics for as long as it lasts.

I would agree that it really is a lot of silly stuff.
Obama could refute it extremely easily by producing the correct documents, but has chosen for his own reasons not to do so; instead spending thousands of dollars and man hours in federal court fighting even just the possibility of 'legal discovery', which is certainly his right but for someone asking for the position he has is most ...unusual, to put it politely.
